As part of my work on Oddsparks, I created tiling materials for the game’s environment. Working on the cold Plateau Biome was especially enjoyable, as I brought the art team’s imaginative concepts to life—from bare frozen ground to a magical lake hiding the universe and dangerous creatures beneath its surface. Beyond aesthetics, I ensured each texture clearly communicated its gameplay function. Some, like permafrost, were designed as destructible obstacles, while others had to be visually engaging yet subtle enough to support the readability of large, player-built bases.
